Dr. Nick Fuhrman, known affectionately by his students and TV viewers as "Ranger Nick," is a nationally known expert in teaching methods. He is most known for using live animals in his classroom and keynote addresses and studies how incorporating animals as teaching tools can benefit both the audience and speaker. He is a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Georgia and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in forestry from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. in environmental education from the University of Florida.
